Indoor Rescue Training
Posted by Matthew Woodfield on Friday, September 27, 2013
Last night was spent with the instructor team at Dynamic Rock climbing centre in Swansea, running a training session for them on instructing groups and how to perform basic climbing rescues. The photo shows them practicing a counterbalanced abseil after picking up a suck climber. Its all pretty technical stuff but they picked up the skills fast and learnt a lot.
I'll be back next time to work on the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing inside.
