Self Rescue Success
Posted by Matthew Woodfield on Tuesday, October 1, 2013
This weekend saw us working with Swansea University Mountaineering Club, teaching them the skills and techniques needed to avoid and manage common climbing problems.
They looked at tying off a belay plate, lowering safely, assisted and unassisted hoists, prusiking and simple tricks to save using these skills in the first place.
Its was a standard sunny day on Gower and the team had a great time, let hope if they ever need it, it'll come in useful.
If you or your club could benefit from some skills training and learning advanced techniques then just get in touch...
