Sunshine through the rain

Posted by Matthew Woodfield on Friday, August 29, 2014, In : Adventure report
And this is why we never cancel a day out just because of the weather forecast! Heavy rain as we left town and bad weather forecast for most of the day - but when we arrived on Gower the sun was out and not a drop hit us all day - even caught the sun.

Gower really does have its own micro climate making it a great place to climb all year round, even if the weather man says its raining - you wont hear us complaining - it'll fine on Gower!

Scrambling by the Sea

Posted by Matthew Woodfield on Monday, April 8, 2013, In : Adventure report
A Scrambling Skills course - by the sea?

Scrambling is the fine line between walking and climbing, where judgement and skill are combined with adventure and exploration. Sometimes using your hands, and sometimes relying on them separates this activity from being just a walk in the hills. We spent the day looking at scrambling movement...

A great day out yesterday with the Brine Family.
We tucked out the wind and got lots of climbing and abseiling done, as well as a quick trip into a Gower 'Bone Cave'.
Amazingly we even found Easter eggs hidden up the cliff! Made for a nice lunchtime snack...

Just shows that you can always make the most of the weather, as long as you know where to go.
