Two days spent looking at movement on rock, rope work, placing protection and building belays.
13 pitches climbed, including their first  multipitch route East Ridge, what a great weekend...

Learn to lead day 2

Day two of a "Learn to Lead" climbing course on Gower in South Wales. Multi-pitch skills and Abseiling were covered, as well as 8 pitches of climbing. There two can head off on their own now - happy climbing!

Learning to Lead climb in South Wales

Sunshine and warm rock - what more could you ask for?
Today was spent at Box Bay near Bridgend in South Wales on day 1 of a 2 day Learn to Lead course for climbing.
We looked at gear placement, ropework, planning and building belays - everything you need to stay safe and climb well.

Tomorrow is an improvers course - another day in the sunshine climbing rock - thank you  Mr Weatherman!

Indoors to out - A climbing transition

 Most people start out climbing indoors, its warm and dry and safe(ish) all year round. You don't need much kit and there's always someone on hand to give advice if you need it. But its just the tip of the climbing iceberg - making the move to climbing outside opens the door to climbing in spectacular places at home and abroad, you just need a little more kit and a few more skills.

Back in Wales and back on the rock!

Well i'm back from another success expedition to Peru and have hit the ground running with a busy week rock climbing.
The highlight has been a leading course with 13 year old Catrin who ticked 5 leads in a day from S to HVS!
Keep an eye on that one, I think she'll go far...

Today was more of a wet one but we still had fun with the lads from london, climbing and abseiling with occasional views of the Brecon Beacons National Park in between the showers.
